Yes.You will need good growth lights and you will have to pollinate them by hand, using a Q-Tip.The tomato's will have very little taste, like the greenhouse tomato's we eat during the winter. You need sunlight and bees to pollinate for the good tasting tomato's

here's the deal - you have nothing to lose trying to get this plant to fruit....
Tomatoes set fruit by "heat units". Heat units are the amount of heat that the plant receives from the sun. So you need to get that tomato in the sun with a black plastic ground mulch right now. Then some sort of cover for when it gets rainy and cool (tomatoes hate cold and wet). If you don't have a really hard freeze until Oct/ Nov you may just get tomatoes.
To self fertilize the plant, just shake gently when it is in bloom.
Look up heat units on the internet...there are many articles that make such sense!!!
Good luck!!

Tomato flowers do no longer stay on the wintry climate interior the united kingdom. it is going to end generating fruit and die. in case you do no longer decide for to strengthen straight away into the soil interior the greenhouse, use a 10-15L crammed with potting compost, or a strengthen bag. Plant out into the pot whilst the greater youthful plant is 15-20cm intense and the flowers of the 1st truss are commencing to open. Water till now planting. shop the flowers properly watered and feed with a soluble tomato fertiliser including Tomorite.

Tomatoes like lot's of sun, so you'll need to get a grow light for it. You should let it go outside though and then your daughter will learn about the importance of planting at the right time of year.

It can be done. You need good soil and ferilizer, water, and sun, or a special lamp.
Also you will need a large enough container to hole the plant, they get pretty big.
I grow mine outside, which is easy to do in Southern California. They get to be about six feet across and about three feet high. so you need space.
But I suppose if you prune it, regularly, it might work.
Good luck.

Yes, get a big five gallon bucket of dirt, and put it in that. Keep it in your hottest room, in the sun if possible, no drafts! I like to do that too, for homegrown tomatoes!
