I don't know if child and adult IQ tests are different, but im 13 and i took an IQ test and scored about 125, and it said mine was above average, so im guessing 109 is about average or a little bit above average.

i think it is absolutely wonderful! Especially for a 13 year old! 110 is the border between average and extraordinary, so 109 is extremely close. That's for adults, since IQ is generally used for them, so for a child, it probably means a superior intellect or something. Congrats to the 13 yr old! I hope he/she does well in life!

at the age of 13 an iq of 109 is a bit above average... :)

yup 109 is good I'm 13 and my IQ is 111 which is a little above average=D

A bit average... then again, it depends on the I. Q. test taken... If it was for an adult, then it was great, but if it was for a 13 year old, quite average.
100 is average, by the way; 200 is genius.
I think I'm at a 150-175 range, and I'm 13, and I'm considered pretty smart at my school!

about average 100 is designated as normal average. don't get excited about IQ until 130 and up.

IQ is calculated dividing your score in a standart IQ test, by your age. so don´t expec it to rise in the years to come, unless you make sur hi is taking some smart stimulation.

your IQ does not ever change, whether you are in kindergarden or 25... 109 is extremely gifted... so let him/her know that is a wonderful score

pretty good. i am 11 and my IQ on an adult test was 95. wait actually that was when i was 1o or 9 i think.
