ok hot topic is like my favorite store i have like everything in the store....so i have these friends that dont like the store which is dumb because i mean what they look different but they r all really nice.... so my ? is y do ppl get scared of punks and goths its riduculious theyr just ppl !!!!!

hot topic is my fav store too and if people dont like then you dont need them they should like by who you are not by the way you dress

I totally agree i'm goth and people hate me for it.(i'm not trying to lable myself though) I have a great personality but people just don't see me that way.I'm just an ordinary goth girl down the street i have fun and i'm just a different person with a different taste of fashion, and music.But people are really scared to be around me because at my school my boyfriend is pretty much the leader of our own kind, at school. He's very pertective of me and watches over me and if somebody gets to close or says something to rude me about how i dress he's right there to help me. So pretty much people think i'm really scary to hang around with cause of my boyfriend but i don't care as long as someone cares about me.that's all i've gotta say.

i have two friends like you- they dress really goth and all, but i only own a few hot topic necklaces and a hot topic black corset. (hot topic is freakin' expensive, where do you get the money???) i wear a lot of different styles and mix them together. i know you are into this one style now, but don't pigeonhole yourself! clothes are all about self-expression. it seems like you are conforming to this one style as an effort to separate yourself from others- including your friends. instead of using your clothing to make you an individual, make your actions set you apart from the crowd.

Some people i guess are scared of them because of how they dress. Im guess i would consider mself preppy and my friends too and sometime we see people always smoking and doing bad stuff. I used to be scared of them but then i was forced to sit next to a goth and she turned out to be really nice, but i still wouldn;t like try to be friends. Some people just don;t understand goths very well but after i met her i understand them better and i just kind of let them do their thing.

first of all, hot topic is becoming really main stream. For instance go to any of the following stores, claire's, the icing, wet seal, delia's, walmart, and even some higher end stores and you will see skulls everywhere, hot topic is not original anymore, I still shop there some cause I love skulls but I can find skull every where. Your friends shouldn't make a big deal about it cause it's very main stream

I do not care to be around such people,they are scary because they are cultish and are not unique but choose to stay in groups and look all the same like they do not have any self esteem or self respect and if a person does not respect themselves they most certainly do not respect society so who knows what they are capable of,now I know that some kids just go through this phase,but if you really are goth it is scary.

lol yea my bro shops there only there all the time and umm its true they think that its like they r involved with the devil and they would do somtin to u cuz that is how i felt i was like omg and all that and i was liek scared of my bro he is goth and and i was scared if he did somtin to me or if somtin happedns to me or like in hot topic umm evertyhing is dark and there are a lot ofchocker s and all of that and it is kinda scary for ppl to go there so i think ppl are csraed off goths and punks bcuz maybe they are scared that they owuld do somtin to them

Hot Topic (or "HT" as we say on the West Coast) is da bomb! Unfortunately, most schools in the country ban their clothing saying that it does not meet their minimum dress code.
