Loveless and Dolly Parton. They, and so many other classics sang about such touching issues, and with real southern pride. Now everybody's losing their roots. Is it all about money? Why sell such a great genre of music out?

To appeal to wider audience of people who might not listen to country music. I personally think new country sucks, that all of it just sounds the same. Give me some George Jones or Hank Williams any day.

Country music like the entire music industry changes every six months. Most artists go along with opinion polls done by their record labels and by marketing trends.Also newcomers to the business go along with the special effects and figure they can do their own thing once they're established.

Because they record what sells. Get hold of KT Oslin and Reba McIntire recordings.

I like new country but I agree that it has gone pop!

Because sadly, you can't blast country out of your car. I personally like country (Patsy Cline!)
