My favorite is Das Boot...the Wolfgang Peterson film based on the book of the same name by Lothar Gunther Buchheim...it was really close to the book and the book was really close to the way it really happened back in the days when U-boats roamed the seas...die grauen wolfe...the grey wolves...best watched in the original German with English subtitles.

Lord of the Rings. I hated the book. It was very terrible indeed I couldn't believe that any director could salvage the tremendous story that remained hidden in the bulk of words that made up the books.

The e book of lost issues, i think of would make an wonderful action picture...form of like Pan's Labyrinth (Yeah, i comprehend it incredibly isn't a e book). it relatively is totally dark even though it form of feels as though it relatively is a fairytale-youngster's-style e book. My well-known e book-based video clips stands out as the Narnia video clips (especially via fact they are a number of my well-known books!), The Bourne identity series, and that i did like the Harry Potter video clips. additionally, satisfaction and Prejudice, The Princess Bride, Breakfast at Tiffany's, and The Lord of the rings,

Lately? "Lord of the Rings." I thought that Peter Jackson, et al., did a marvelous job of adapting that gigantic story for the screen, and, as subsequent efforts ("King Kong") have demonstrated, Jackson is MUCH better when he's tied to a strong narrative.
