Well, first you would need to outline the changes that you would like made. Next collect as many signature as you can from people that agree with your changes. To convince the Department of Education (for changes to core curriculum) you'll need to explain reasons why your curriculum is superior to the current one and provide proof that it will work. This means you should probably start at the local level as it will be easier to change the curriculum at the school district level (as long as it is not too radical).

Write a brief (one or two paragraph tops) statement declaring the changes you want implemented at the top of lined paper that has a column for names and addresses. Canvas your area and talk briefly to people who may also be concerned about the issue. Ask them to sign your petition. Each page of the petition needs to include the statement.
