Your Palm should not go into a loop of any kind. Is this your first time using it? If yes, make sure you go through the digitizer setup. When it is done, try other features of the Palm, such as contacts. Then turn off the unit, and restart. If you are still going into the loop, I would suggest doing a soft reset, which you can do by holding the power button and then clicking on the reset button on the back of your unit. DO NOT DO A HARD RESET. If you do, any information you have stored would be erased.

A soft reset should clear the problem up. If not, contact Palm or the retailer you bought the unit from.
