All the things i bought are markers book covers pens(black blue red) pencils crayons glue index cards highlighters and a crayon box. im starting 6th grade

For the first day, you probably just need som spiral notebooks or 3-ring binders with paper to jot down some notes. Maybe a folder for each class you are in, and some pens and pencils.
You won't need the book covers, crayons, glue, index cards, or highlighters for the first day. If you have a locker to keep things in, then you may want to keep all that in your art box in your locker, but if you have a homeroom with a desk that is yours for most of the day, you will probably keep it in there.
If you didn't get spiral notebooks or binders with paper, you will want those items. Folders are also a must to keep yourself organized.

Many schools provide a list. Some even send the list to local discount stores like Target or Walmart. Contact your school and ask this question.
You can't go wrong having loose leaf paper and a pen and pencil the first day. Your teachers may give a list of supplies during the first week of school.
You'll do fine in 6th grade because it sounds like you are excited and ready for school to begin again.

Then ditch the crayons girlfriend if you dont want to be made fun of. You need to bring a cool backback, paper. pens (black n blue) most dont allow red. Leave the book covers at home as well as all the other stuff. The teacher will tell you what is expected the first day of school.

Most likely you're going to need loose leaf paper,NO spiral notebooks,and make sure you have your own lock because you will be issued a locker to keep your stuff in. A plastic protractor.(In my day we used the one with a pointy end and a pencil stuck in the other,lol)map colors,t shirts and white socks for P.E.,

On the first day, you'll really only need some paper and a pencil or two. Each teacher will tell you what you need to have for the class.
