Whenever I use a small brush to put a dark or smoky shade on my upper eyelid, I get little grains of powder that drop down underneath my eyes from the brush. I'm 29 and starting to get small wrinkles and crinkles under my eyes. So when I try to brush these grains away, even with a clean makeup brush, they just settle into the small wrinkles under my eyes and makes it look like I have dark circles under my eyes and accentuate the wrinkles. Anybody know how to fix this? Maybe a different kind of brush? I'm using a brush with actual bristles, by the way, not the little pads on a stick that come in the eyeshadow compact. And I'm using a soft weeping motion from the inside of my eye outwards.

A trick I learned in school was to take a little extra powder and dust it beneath your eyes before you apply your shadow - that way, if some extra shadow fell on it, you just brush both away with a small blush brush and you've got a perfect finish. Works a treat!

Dab excess powder foundation under your eye before you put on eyeshadow. When done with the eyeshadow, use a blusher brush to wipe off the excess under your eyes. The shadow will brush away leaving foundation underneath.

Put a generous amount of loose powder under your eyes before you put the shadow on. Then the eyeshadow should catch in the loose powder and you can just brush it away when you're done.
