Chances are slim. If you lost him in your house, then there is still a chance to find him. Put out some food and water in one part of your house that is easy to reach for the iguana. If you lost it outside, than you have about a 5% chance of getting him back, but it is possible. I had a neighbor whose iguana had jumped off a two story balcony after sunning and a year later, after the guy moved out, my dad and I caught it in a nearby tree. Of course, if left too long to fend for itself, and then caught, it will not survive. That's what happened to the one we caught. We tried releasing him back, but he was too weak, and we found him feet from where we left him, brought him back into warmth and food, but he died days later. Good Luck finding him!

If you lost it inside your house and there isn't a way for it to have gotten out, the best thing you can do is make your home as cold as possible. After your home is cold, put out a heat lamp in the middle of the floor in one of the rooms - if your iguana is in the house it will seek out the warmest place it can find, which should be the heat lamp or perhaps an area by a furnace if it is accessible. Good luck!

ok did you loose him in the house or outside...I have a green ggy thats over 6 ft long and weighs about 22 lbs...........he attempts to escape from the back yard on occassion....usually to the nearest tree...they are terriffic climbers.......... check the trees in your yard or neighbors yard...or if there is a creek or a pond nearby (1/2 mile or so) check them as well. It will be in an area where it can eat...they love clover and dandy lions...so keep your eyes out.

Oh i'm so sorry for you! He may be in a position to discover his way abode yet i'd not assume it. i could put up fliers around the community if he's been spoke of at present yet b/c he's a lizard I wager he will stay a secure satisfied existence contained in the woods...if he remains out of the line. you may favor to the contact animal administration and word in the adventure that they recommend you installation a secure capture for him if he does challenge back onto your belongings. desire you hit upon him! suited desires!
