I remember when I got my license gas cost $.25 a gallon. when McDonald's opened you could get fries & a soda for a quarter also. I could do a week's food shopping for $25. Of course minimum wage was $1.35 an hour.
Unions were very active then and cost of living raises were guarenteed. So prices & wages were on the same level.

YUP. I remember when there was a major price war and it was $0.159 per gallon. in one small town. That was good, because I was real short of money.

*sigh* yes I do. That was about two years ago and even then, we were complaining that it was too high. I guess that's what we get, huh?

shoot, I remember when it was $0.99 (99 cents)!!! I miss those days. I could fill up my car with less than $10.00. (sigh)
