MY SON PLAYED A GAME WHERE HE CREATED A COMMUNITY BY PLACING HOUSE WHERE HE WANTED THEM ALSO PARKS CHURCHS , ALSO MADE THE PEOPLE BUT IT WAS MUCH EASIER THEN SIMS ONLY BASICS ITS FOR AN 8 YEAR OLD

try tycoon games there a little easyer or try millsberry.com its so fun and easy!

Do not let your son play the sims for sure. that would be a very bad influence for an 8 year old. I suggest the harvest moon games if you have a gamecube.

Any of the Tycoon games are great for his age group & older. Zoo Tycoon is excellent, so is Roller Coaster Tycoon, Skateboard Tycoon, & Ski Tycoon. Limit his time on the computer, though. There's more to life....

I agree the SIMS is a bit too adultish for kids.. there is on-line HABBO HOTEL. ( which might be a bit hard for him) but Harvest moon is a great game. There is also SIMS Safari, and another Zoo type one...

I'm 29,and I can't figure out how to run that games! I used to play Roller Coaster Tycoon...now THAT is fun!
