It is very possible to miss twins even farther along then that. If the two babies are close enough the ultrasound may see only one fetus.

My aunt didn't know she was having twins until they were born. I guess every time she went for a check up, one was hiding behind the other one. Granted, this was 29 years ago and technology has come a long way, but I still think it's possible.

anything is possible but it is unlikely they would miss two heartbeats and bodies...but sometimes one twin is hiding behind the othetr and you can not see them. go for more ultrasounds.

Yes, it is very possible to miss it,,,,,,if you have two they are going to be very small and may not notice them until later.

it is possible but quite unlikely if your doctor has been careful with the scan.
