It is very normal. I have been through this. Try remembering the reasons that you don't want to be around them when they are gone. My relationship was terrible for me and I did this and now I am happy that I did.

Yes sometimes, you have to figure out what it is that you are getting from that person. Chances are that you have an idea in your head of what you would like that relationship or that person to be, but when you spend time with them they don't really meet that expectation so you don't like it, then when they are gone your IDEA takes over and thats what you miss. Lose the idea, see that person for what they really are (someone that annoys you) and it will change.

It's called Imature Infatuation. Youre too imature to handle this situation. Get rid of the person in your life there's a reason you don't want to be around them. Get some good people around you who are good examples of what it is to be a decent and productive adult and couples who have the kind of relationship that you want. Watch and learn before you start getting back into a relationship.

We always seem to want what we can't have. It's normal but it's self-destructive. Stop it!!!!!
