she is certainly humbled by the fact that she is responsible for the death of her high school boyfriend, Michael Douglas, wouldn't you think?

I sure hope she is.

You know darned well if Hilary had ever killed someone it would be ALL over the news during elections and the republicans would probably make commercials with slogans like "do you want a MURDERER in the white house???" with screeching tire sound effects in the background.

In May 2000, a two-page police report pertaining to a fatal accident that had taken place near Midland, Texas, in 1963 was made public. It contained the information that 17-year-old Laura Welch had run a stop sign, causing the death of the sole occupant of the vehicle hers had struck. According to that report, the future First Lady had been driving her Chevrolet sedan on a clear night shortly after 8 p.m. on 6 November 1963 when she entered an intersection without heeding the stop sign and there collided with the Corvair sedan driven by 17-year-old Michael Douglas. Also in the car with Laura Welch was a passenger, 17-year-old Judy Dykes.

It was an accident and it was her friend, but 'boyfriend' is not confirmed anywhere for sure, there are conflicting reports and I am not aware of her ever giving an official statement about it either way.
It was an accident, and I read she has a scar on her leg from it.
It was decades ago in 1963 when she was only 17 and I am sure she had some therapy to help her through it. But I'm sure there was some PTS and it may still haunt her today. I think it would haunt me if I was in her shoes.
How do you get over killing one of your friends, even on accident?
Plus her friend was with her and Michael Douglas' father was following behind him and witnessed the whole thing...had to suck for him even more.
She ran a stop sign but when both cars are going around 50 mph...any collision can be deadly. No one was charged with anything in the accident.

Maybe Mikey owed her money for drugs (she was said to be the "go to" girl for dime bags in college) and he "welched" on her (Welch was her maiden name. You know, like President Lincoln had a secretary named "Kennedy", and President Kennedy had a secretary named "Lincoln" etc., etc...).
So, where was I....?
Oh, yeah, so anyway, she might have been pissed that he was trying to rip her off and she thought she'd teach him a lesson. After he died, THEN she realized there was no way she could get paid. THAT is the memory that haunts her (she's a fiscal conservative, unlike her old man). But because she was selling AND using drugs, her diminished brain power stymies her from passing on to her husband the lesson that a preemptive strike is not always the best policy.
Another recurring image that haunts her is the vision of lifting the blanket (not sanctions) off her sleeping husband and rediscovering (unaided by U.N. inspectors) his weapon of minor nuisance.
She serves as First Lady, but she is not served well.

Never drink and drive. Bush is an Alcoholic and did a boat load full of coke back in the day. Laura decided to get drunk and still thought she could drive. Someone died because of her.

As you can see the whole Bush family thing is full of drug addicts and booze hounds. Gee I wonder why the twins keep getting busted at bars.

Neddie get off of this one. Before you implied that she got off because she was a Bush. Now because she was rich? It was fully investigated and proved an accident. Do you have any proof of malice, intent or neglect? Or are you just regurgitating a rerun of your favorite Liberal talk show?

You are far more lame than those that bring up Kennedy.

No. Considering the reality she faces everyday for being married to the most arrogant person on earth, that memory just fades to the distance.

Of course she is haunted by it. Most people are who have an accident and it kills someone.

Except for Ted Kennedy.
