I hope that I am wrong, but I am afraid that when we realize how unavoidable this Islamic conflict is that we will have imported so much hate that we will become a large scale Lebanon. An act like Terrorist hitting an elementary school will make The Sleeping Christians who now support their Aunts or Uncles in the local Democratic Party, throw all Democrats out.
If as a Nation we would unite and dismember the Democratic Party from the local level up, then the Terrorist would know that America was alive and well, and they would go back to killing each other. America united under God can not be intimidated.

Worse? I don't know. Probably something else will happen, but I'd like to hope that it never will. Especially since I live in NYC... and it's most likely that something would happen here or in Washington, DC because they are symbolic places and very heavily populated places.
I don't like the threat, but the way I figure is any time I go outside, any time I walk anywhere, the "threat" exists that I will be hit by a car, that a brick will fall out of a building (I was almost hit by a screen falling out of a window this year... seriously it was one foot away from hitting my head and I could have died that way), from being killed by a murderer, by being bitten by a mosquito with West Nile, with getting the bird flu... and so on and so forth! There are endless "threats" to our lives every day, and we go about our business every day regardless of these potential hazards.
And if you drive, every day you get in a car and drive somewhere, even though you know that statistically your chances of getting in a car accident and dying are way higher than being killed by an act of terrorism.
So, that is how I think of it. I wish it weren't so, but then again I wish any of the other threats to my life weren't so. I can't stress about things which are out of my control, all I can do is remain vigilant and try to protect myself in the most effective ways possible.

I think that it's dumb and the terror should stop. Another attack probably will happen. There's been rumors, but you never know.
