One that has the theatrical cut and has a good transfer in the right aspect ratio (unlike the out-of-print Director's Cut DVD). Who owns the rights to this movie?

Amazon has the Director's Cut version available:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/search/104-7616299-6379160?search-alias=dvd&keywords=6305261032%7C%20B00004CZD6%7C%20B00004RYTL%7C%20B000216XSA&rank=relevancerank&field-format=dvd%7Ctheatrical%7Cumd%7Cblu
It says: "Studio: Live / Artisan"

Artisan Entertainment was purchased by LionsGate Films, so I suppose they have the rights now. I suppose you could write them to suggest a 20th anniversary re-release for next year. They have forums on their website -- maybe you can find some who agree with you there... http://forums.lgf.com/

I hope there will be a new DVD. I love this movie. It is one of my top 5 of all time.
