Its natural for a person to feel the way you're feeling when everything wrong occurs at the same time or after another. I have been through that before, and I felt the same way. I try to see things in perspective. Show your mom more love, make sure she's going for treatment, taking her medicine and spend time with her. 2ndly, if you don't think you can work things out with the girl yet, maybe you should just break it off for a while and as for your dog, im really sorry I know that sucks. Depression comes in many forms, your's might be a minor depression but if you feel like it's gettin worse, speak to your best friend, or better yet, seek professional help. Time heals. I hope you feel better.

You are probably not depressed but have a lot of stuff going on. I would get rid of the "girlfriend". There is not much to do about your mom's heart failure. If she takes her medication and stops bad habits and adopts healthy ones, she will do better (I am a nurse). You can go look for the dog and put an ad in the paper. This is how life is with its ups and downs. Learn now how to deal with life......it will help you as you get older.

An online answer site may not be the best solution to this kind of problem. Try going to a counseler and asking for a free consultation for depression, in all liklihood he/she will be able to help you through this rough time. Or a priest/imam/etc. however will make you comfortable. Sometimes the best thing to do is just have a long drawn out talk with a sympathetic listener.

Depression is when you feel so hopeless and helpless that you can't drag yourself out of bed in the morning. You spend most of your time sleeping. Simple things like housework become an enormous task. You either lose your appetite or develop a large appetite eating junk food....
You feel like you are sinking into a black hole of endless despair and there is absolutely nothing you can do to dig your way out. The walls feel like they are closing in and you want to hide away from everyone. You start isolating yourself from family and friends eventually cutting everyone off. Your moods will be irritable and irrational. Crying hysterically is not uncommon....weight loss or weight gain of course will occur as a result of the appetite change. Your sleep cycles will remain messed up with alternating cycles of insomnia and oversleeping...
Your world will become a living hell if you have true clinical depression......

First of all, there is always someone who is worse off than you are. In this case, LOTS of people are.
Second, occupy your mind with developing a plan to solve your Mom's health problem, like getting her to a cardiologist. Then decide what you want to do about the girl (break up with her?). Then go door-to-door looking for your dog, and put up some posters in stores, etc.
When you're depressed, you are immobilized and do nothing. You need to get busy. Then you won't be depressed anymore.

Give yourself time because your going through a lot right now..but after a while if your not capable of functioning normally on a everyday basis then get help. But of course your sad. you've had a hard month.

Don't worry everything will get better. I suffer from depression and I am doing pretty bad myself. Maybe you should go see a doctor and see what they think. Because if you do have depression, you should take some medicine for it so you can get better. I hope everything works out for you. Good luck.
