DONT get the macbook pro now. Use your old computer for a month or two and wait for the mac book pro with the dual 2 core processor. It should be coming out in a month or so.

Ok. Im am 13 and have a vaio 1 gb ram 200 gb memory 3 ghz so yeah... for graduation im getting 4 gbs of ram. For you its doesnt sound so good.

It all depends on what programs they will need it to run, I bought a top speed Dell and it will not run my old programs I wanted it for.
