I taught my girls ring around the rosies and played it as a girl myself only to learn that it is about the plague. eek!
I like nursery rhymes but I think they are not for children.

little jack horner, sat in the corner, playin' with his girlfriend Mary. Stuck in his thumb, pulled out a plumb and said dig that crazy cherry! Have you ever seen Nelly make water? she can pee such a beautiful stream, she can pee for a mile and a quarter, and you can't see her butt for the steam! I was expelled in third grade for these... we had to move so i could go to school... Hahaa

I think they are morbid and teach our children in a diverse way bad things. Really read the ryme and tell me what you get out of them.
