You have to think outside the box on this one. I can imagine a situation where Canada could not defend herself against invaders where it would become advantageous for the USA and Canada to unite under a central government. How the world situation will play out in the next 100 years is impossible to predict. As the world goes to a world economy it is very likely that old alliances will break down and new ones will form. I remember people saying at the height of the cold war 50 years ago that E. and W. Germany would never be reunited.

Impossible. At most, I could see Canada, the U.S. and Mexico evolving towards a kind of trilingual (French, English and Spanish) commonwealth, but consider how the European Union, 50 years after the initial idea of creating such a body emerged, is still having quite an interesting time trying to reconcile all the cultural differences. Millenia of individual histories and identities won't disappear in one century, thank God.
Plus, your question includes the idea that the rest of the world *wants* to become American, which is very, very far from being true. That doesn't mean that the rest of the world hates America - it just means that people in other countries are proud of their culture, identity and nationality and would not abandon it to become Americans.
However, the next century could see the rise of a world government which would respect the autonomy and unique cultural and national identity of each member.

It's unlikely. USA is currently suffering an economic lull compared to many other countries, such as the UK, India, etc. Militarily, the US army has demonstrated that it cannot contain guerrilla movements in Vietnam, Somalia, Afghanistan and Iraq. The Euro is gradually becoming a more dominant currency and may easily overtake the US dollar as the international reserve currency.

I don't think this will have to be forced, it will just happen. Globalization is making the countries of the world more and more similar to each other. It won't change old cultures, it's just that the young generations will all be connected over the internet, speak the same language(s), buy the same brands and mostly have the same world view. I think the Internet will be looked back on as the single event that most changed the course of humanity.

Americans are the most rudest people in the world. They talk before thinking and they make stupid comments everywhere they go. I'm actually shocked about the schools in the US... do they even teach them history classes?!? Learn about the Canadian history... you'll see why we won't let Americans take our beautiful land. Melting-pot is the most disgusting way to integrate people together to become a country! Canadians accepts people for who they are. They don't let immigrants be treated like thrash. Besides, Canada doesn't need an enemy. We're one of the most peaceful country in the world. War is out of our minds. So let me say one thing... We'll never be connected with the US!!

Wow... now I see why so many other countries think Americans are all arrogant b*stards who think they have a right to rule the universe without any regard for others.
Oh yeah, the answer to your question is a resounding NO.

It might happen if the US depopulates all other countries with weapons of mass destruction and fills them with Americans. Otherwise not. You can't erase cultures just like that.

In your dreams. Read "Friday" by Robert A Heinlein. He may have a more accurate picture than you think.
