Well it rains from late October to early April and moving sucks in the rain! September is good because the college students go back to school so there are lots of jobs available. Housing is competitive in the summer too. So you can lose out on a deal quick. Fall is a little more relaxed in the housing market :)

The best time is now, do it why you can some people don't have that oppurunity. I used to wait before moving until something unfortunate happened, now if neccessary I do it ASAP.

Try to move to Oregon before the rainy season starts.... before November...
