i see what u mean because the type of music that u listen to kinda has a fashion to go with it!! but dont think that u have to stick with it because we need to all be different instead of catergarising ourselves by the type of music we listen to!!!! i like all different types of music but that doesnt affect my wardrobe!!! but i wont condem people who do dress like their music taste!!! if u get me!??!

No people shouldn't dress like the music they listen to because music and wardrobe are 2 different categories! People should dress the way they feel and not what they listen to.

I think it would be weird if someone listened to R&B and wore only gothic clothes. What I don't understand is why gothicand emo people think they are so different from everyone else when tons of other people dress EXACTLY the same as them. I think people should find their own style and not try to be "different" because if you try to be TOO different, you just end up looking like everyone else who wants to be different. You know what I mean? If you have a unique style (which is hard to come by these days) you will be original and you shouldn't try to be someone else.

I personally dress however I feel like, mostly based on my moods. I listen to all kinds of music, and I wear almost anything...but, I don't usually wear dark makeup & dress in black, even though I abs. love rock!

No, because some people, including myself like a broad variety of music. You are stereotyping and restricting yourself if you dressed according to your musical tastes.

I listen to Hawkwind (Heavy metal/rock) It would not be acceptable for me to dress like a rock chic for work (teaching) but i would love to, sick of twin sets and sensible skirts and shoes, would love to able to wear what i like for work and all the time. Who decides what is appropriate anyway?

you should dress as you wish to be perceived. besides,
if you dress according to the music you listen to how
would someone with eclectic tastes dress? for example
i actively enjoy classical, jazz, and gospel. i wish to
be taken as a somewhat normal well adjusted human
so i avoid any extremes.
