Well, basically everyone who's answered this is american, and as the rest of the world knows, americans are ignorant and seem to think they have the best country in the world. And because americans think that, they get defensive and upset when someone can prove they dont. And one totally ignorant american said anyone in america can get health care if they need it, WRONG! If that were true thousands of americans would be much healthier or still alive... That's true for the average, well off americans, but this question really has nothing to do with well off americans, it has to do with those who are less fortunate. You can't blame all a countries poor people on crack, that's not fair because its not true. Some people just have really bad luck financially and some people were raised in a poor family, which left them with no money to get an education beyond high school, and honestly what decent paying job can you get with only a high school education? Gawd reading all these things that americans are writing makes me almost change my mind about wanting to move to california for a few years... I knew you guys were dumb, but I didnt realize so many of you were actually as stupid and ignorant as Bush!

Why do you libs always feel the need to post the same old garbage and call it proof of how bad we treat our own. Everybody here can get medical coverage if and when they need it but so many are drugged out stupid or just ignorant that they don't take proper care of themselves when pregnant. And i would like to see the percentage of these infant mortality rates that are attributed to illegal immigrants who come here just to give birth in the US so their baby can be considered a Citizen. Oh and statistics can be manipulated to show what ever the writer wants.

Societies must choose between equality at all costs and wealth. Communism is great for equality but poor at wealth creation.
Capitalism is great at wealth creation but not as good at equality.

America has chosen a path closer to true capitalism than other countries. Our equality as measured by infant mortality is relatively poor but still at a tolerable level. However, our total wealth is maximized. Note how there is a word of Eurosclerosis but no such equivalent for America.

Might want to snopes that little article; and the reason why is the study does not account for those who come here to have their children with difficulties. They come here for the most advanced services available in the world and would have no chance in their homelands.
