Apparently, according to imdb.com there is a TV movie being produced by Bellasario that leaps the story 20 years into the future with Sam's daughter trying to rescue her father. Has anyone heard anything more about when this project might be completed?

wow..this is the first i've heard of it...hope they bring back scott and dean for the roles...
remember on the original series there was a three parter called "trilogy" that had sam helping abigail fuller in louisiana....and sam actually fathered a daughter named sammy jo...and al tells sam that sammy jo is working at project quantum leap trying to bring her father home...
oh boy....

Once again, an answer that isn't any help but does show enthusiasm to this project. I loved this show and was very sad when it ended. It was far too intelligent for the TV viewing audience.
