A dollar is a dollar.

Although anything out of the ordinary may befuddle a typical Walmark cashier so you might want to bring it to her attention before she gets all confused and calls for a manager.

If it's a sacajawea dollar then yes. It is universally accepted as it is legal currency. If it is a true gold coin then that is iffy. They may or may not accept it and you most certainly will not get the real value of the coin as most gold coins are worth far more than the face value. (IE a $5.00 gold coin is worth about $120.00).

Only if the cashier was bright enough to know what it is. I had one and she had to call a Manager to check out the "coin." He even asked me "Where did you get this?" I had to convince him that I got it at the bank. DOLT !
