Yesturday I went to the store and as I was checking out the cashier asked me if I was going to pay with credit/debit card I aswered cash. So then he said " If you want you can take some of the things for free." I refused and paid for all of my stuff (I was kicking my self for not taking the stuff.) So that is were my question comes in. And would you report the employee for giving things away?

Nothing is for free. It was probably a scam. Why would a person say that out of the blue. I would report her think of it as in the aspect of what if it was your business and the was your employee?

Taking things for free not a good idea!! Maybe think twice about going to that store again.

i would report them because thats not right.... because you could get into big trouble because you wouldnt have a receipt and they would be short some money at the end of the day and then she could say something like say that you stole it and then it would be her word aginst yours and who do you think the police or secerity are gona believe you or the cashier that they hired???? then you would get in big trouble for steeling it even though you really wernt stealing it.... so yes you did the right things even though you were kicking yourself for it lol!!!

You definitely should have reported him because even though it seems like nobody gets hurt because its a big company thats not necessarilly true. Someone always loses. And its bad Karma to steal.

Need to know more about this situation. What store, what stuff, what things for free? This sounds confusing.

dont feel bad about not taking the free things. you'd feel even more guilty if you had taken it. as for the employee, he was just friendly flirting with you so id let it go. unless he was some old man i dont think it was a big deal

He was so hitting on you. If he was a old nasty fart or really perverted guy definatley report him. He has issues. If he was a young stud, take it as a compliment.

I would let it go because it would be her word against your word. You made the right decision by paying......everything has a price one way or the other.
