More than likely cause one party is spending too much of their own money on things other than what's in the best interest of the family. It gets to be over-whelming for the one keeping the books, having to pay for everything, yet not having anything, while the other's out having a good time not giving a crap whether or not his/her family is financially secure.

They divorce and split over everything.....including financial problems.

because people dont want to put the work into marriage that they need to. People just dont care about keeping a marriage together any longer. Its so easy just to live with someone and then leave them now days. Once the whole its ok to just live with someone thing came about, everything went down hill.

Money just causes a lot of stress on a marriage. It's not that you split BECAUSE of money, per say, it's that the emotional toll it takes on your marriage when you are constantly under stress because of finances causes you to drift apart.
