hokay. this is weird cuz my dog and my bfs dog and his roomates dog just all got fleas, and theyre almost all gone... you need to go to the veet and get frontline. it runs about 15-20 per dose, but they put it on for free and it is pretty mcuh guaranteed. you can only get it at the vet (not over the counter) or from petmeds.com because its so strong. before you put it on, buy a bottle of shampoo. this will get rid of the flea dirt (poop) on them and make their skin more receptive to the frontline.
then, you need to buy treatment for the home. what worked for me:
dont know the brand name, but they may not even have it in your area, but its 18 bucks for 3 can bombs. set em off, leave for 2-3 hours, air it out for 1 hour, then the fleas are gone.
next: buy a egg killer spray or a duster... spray couches and under couches and vaccum every single day for like a week.
finally: wait. eggs can lay dormant for a long long time in the carpet and everything, and when you vaccum, it stimulates them to hatch sooner, so that why you do it often. read up more on wikipedia :)
hope this helps, it did me!! i have found fleas crawling off of my dog having like seizures or something, ill pick them off and theyre dead :) its so great!!!

and BTW- two of the three dogs had flea collars on- they dont work- obviously lol:)
frontline works like MAGIC!!!! :-P

If you have pets just go buy FRONTLINE plus and put it on your pet. All the fleas will die when they bite your cat or dog. In about a week vacuum allot for a few days. I have 3 (had 5) dogs and 3 cats. SO I SPEAK FROM experience.
I know there are fleas in your carpet and where ever else but they are just there waiting to jump on your pet. So when they do it wont take long. After the first 30 days I would then put another dose of frontline on your pet simply for preventive purposes.
Store bought carpet powders and all that junk doesnt work. Its a waste.

i had my home professional trteated yesterday. I had hired the carpet and ulpostry shampoed before they came and sent all linens to the laundry Exterminators will come back next week and treat again In the meantime my dog is being treated with advantage and foster's flea shampoo. I dont think the over the counter cheap cures work for a bed infestation and I worry about my allergies and the small dog getting sick from the treatment I take her out with me for 4 hrs after the treatment

It depends on where the fleas are,If there on your carpet go to a local pet store and buy a spray that gets rid of fleas. It should cost about 4.99. Or a powder like the ones you use before you vacume, sprinkle it all over your floors and wait a day or two.that should cost about 9.55. Hope I could help you and your problem. Good luck!!!!

We had bad problem in an apartment. We bought several boxes of "20 Mule Team Borax" detergent- $3/box. Sprinkled all over the carpeted floors and let sit for 24 hrs. Vacuumed the floors and got rid of the fleas.
Be prepared to change the dirt bag on vacuum often.
Don't let pets eat the detergent!!

Ya go up to the biggest baddest looking one in the bunch and ya grabs him by the shirt collar and ya look him square in the eye and ya says "Look pal, I don't like your kind hanging around these parts scarin' all the decent folk. Aintcha got nothin better to do with your time!" After a while of drinking and fightin, those bullies will get tired of your small town and ride on to the next one in search of more hell raisin.
Oh wait, did you say "fleas" or "biker hoodlums"???

you will get a flea spray which you spray interior the carpet, and around the baseboards of each and every room, and around the door sills. besides the undeniable fact that, your suitable wager is to get the flea drugs which you placed on the canine's back between their shoulders (like Frontline's precise Spot). it is going to ultimately kill off all the fleas in the canine's general territory (the two interior and out), yet you are able to shop treating each and each month.

Treat your pets, it's unhealthy to have fleas for them and us, they carry tapeworms which can kill animals and humans, they cause a lot of skin problems (flea allergy dermatitis)
Buy revolution, it does fleas, worms, lice, earmite and heartworm and lungworm and some ticks.

seven dust...dust your dog...dust your house...dust your yard...
then take your dog to the vet and get prevention for you dog!
or take your dog now to the vet have it dipped and bomb your home with flea stuff...spread poison around the outside of your house and yard and even into the neighbors yard broadcasting it over the fence or property line...then administer monthly prevention suitable for your pet...This is not that expensive...call
all the vets around you and shop for the least expensive one!
