Read the label. I wash mine in cold water and dry it in the dryer at a laundromat in the biggest washer and dryer available. I put tennis balls inside white socks and put them in the dryer with the comforter to help fluff up the feathers. I use about 5 or 6 tennis balls. Then I will let it air in the outdoors just to make sure that it is completely dry otherwise it will have an odor until it does get dry. Or you could have it dry cleaned.

You have to be careful when washing anything that's filled with down as the down (feathers) clump together when they get wet and can stay clumped together when dry again.
If you do wash it then do so by hand, ideally in a bath, wash gently using something such as down-wash (available from camping shops as it's what people use to wash down sleeping bags with), don't wring the bedspread out and use warm water.
When washing do so with a kneading action like when making dough and keep it as flat as possible. When hanging try to keep it flat (hang it across 2 or more washing lines or spread it out over the top of a rotary drier. Once it's dried outside put it in a tumble drier set to the coldest temp (or no heat if you have that setting) and let it tumble for an hour or so to fluff it back up again.
Better than any of that - take it to a dry cleaners and let them have the hassle, plus if they ruin it you can get a new bedspread from them.

If it's a white feather bed, then wash it in hot. Does the tag say you can machine wash it?
It's okay if it does. I've washed my feather down in the wash and it was okay.
Don't be alarmed when you pull it out though and it smells kind of funny, it's just because of the feathers.
I put mine in the dryer and it came out just fine.
Hope this helps.

You can wash it it warm water on gentle cycle . If you put in the dryer put tennis balls in with it (new ones of course) they will keep it fluffed without it bunching up in places. Courtesy of my dry cleaner lady.

If you still have the package, it may tell you on that....if not, call a clothing cleaner in your area. an honest one will tell you wether or not you can wash it and how to wash it, or if you need to have it dry cleaned.
