I have been using "Weleda Combudoron Gell" at night after shower to stop burning,repeat after 2 hrs. Then "Weleda Combudoron Cream" next day. Have not been burnt for years

washcloths soaked in milk will ease the pain, a good moiturizer like Nivea cream will help it to heal.
