I have been a detroit pistons fan since I was 2. Do you think we can still take the championship this year without ben wallace? The rest of the starting lineup is still the shyt, but there are too many opinions on this right now

yes, ben was only going to weigh us down more this year, and with the addition of nazr mohammed, our line-up only gets better. ben shot a horrbile 35% or so FT in the play-offs, while nazr avgs 78%, and it wasnt too long ago that nazr started for the championship winning spurs, which i still rue the day they won

I'm a heat fan as well as a Pistons fan...i was disappointed when i found out that the trade was real and not a rumor. But Detroit is still strong and has some really really good players!!! Ben Wallace was a great asset to the team but the Pistons are strong and I'm sure their still capable of winning a Championship!! I mean come on with players like Chauncey , Hamilton, Rasheed and a whole lot more they can def bring it home!! I mean look at the Miami Heats they have all well rounded players but the only two really solid players on that team is Wade and Shaq and they brought the title home. As for The pistons they have a all around great team!! And as a team Ben or no Ben they can still win a Championship!!!!

Of course we have a shot. I miss Larry Brown though to be honest. However our teams chances depend on how well we can play offense. The changing of the game, and the loss of Ben Wallace is turning our team into an offensive team. If we can score easily and defend well, we will be in the hunt again. Ronald Murray was my favorite signing this offseason, as he will provide a huge spark off the bench and can easily score. Nazr is no Ben Wallace, but he can provide depth and will help. I like our chances. Look for Jason Maxiell, Amir Johnson, and maybe even Alex Acker to get some minutes this year.
