Oh my what a question. I don't think that I want to categorize any of them so I will just start typing.
My two daughters are my true and biggest hero's. They are my best friends. I taught them from a very early age not to be afraid to tell me anything. They have been open with me all this time. AND believe me, there were some things that I didn't like but they would always ask my opinion and they cherished my thoughts. All children have a special bond between them and the parents.
I never picked their friends. And they have many !!!! All of them call me Mom which is very precious to me. All of us have laughed together and also cried together. They would tell my girls oh my what a terrific mom you have BUT NO NO NO, it is my children....
God, the Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.
My father and I were very close. I would always help him put up fence and tear down trees. Feed the cows and horses. I had a very good life and I truly feel that it has been passed on to my children.
Thank you for the trip down memory lane. ^(ovo)^

Wow, that's a toughie.
Well, I'll set aside my sports heroes like Emmitt Smith because while I admire the talent of athletes, they aren't necessarily the most heroic.
Second, I'll set aside some of the great scientists like Thomas Edison because while they were smart, they did not lead well balenced lives.
Now for my real heroes: Jesus Christ, Ender Wiggin, and Paul Atreides.
First Jesus is the son of God and a true rebel.
Even though Ender and Paul are fictional, the qualities they embody such as courage, intellect, and compassion are things I strive for.
So, my biggest hero would be Jesus, but obviously God should be the most admired, so of the others, I'd say Ender is my biggest hero. He shows that nothing is impossible.

My best friend Kermit. This man has been one of the biggest inspirations in my life. I can not even express what he has done for me and how he has helped me through my life. I will just paint a picture of this man Kermit. Everyone I know when they see him are intimidated by his apperance. He has over 45 piercings on his face (one of which is a 3 1/2 inch hole in his ear, pretty sweet weight too) and about 45 hours of tatooing on his head. Where I am from, my community just shuts him out based on his apperance. - I am not one to judge others based on appearances - I got to know him quite well - I later found that he was in the Air Force for 6 years - after which he joined the Peace Corps and lived in Africa for another 6 years - he then went to college to get his Masters in English and his PHD in African Tribal studies. - He also wrote a childrens book and he also donates a lot of money and time to a lot of different organizations - he is the god father to three kids, and their parents all died so now he is the legal gaurdian for them and helps them out in every way possible. This man is one of the greatest inspirations in my life and I only wish my community would look past the appearance of others and actually see the true beauty and love that is in people. This man, I can not say enough about .... and I even left a lot out about him. So - This man - Kermit - is my hero, friend and above all inspiration.

The firemen who rescued me when I crashed my motorcycle. Hit my head on a rock and knocked myself goofy for several hours. Several firemen and several of my father's friends had to hold me down to give me a shot. I was 12 and weighed about 90 pounds, but apparently did not want a shot in the butt. So I fought them, but fortunately they administered medication and I didn't further do damage to myself. Don't think I've ever seen my Dad so shook up.

My father, who has sustained his family through the Depression as a child, served in WWII, carried on his mother's newspaper business, and today still plays tennis at least once a week even though he's over eighty.
