Just relax feet up as much as possible, keep clean, and for swelling and any soreness have someone clean and rinse out the tub really good for you and fill the tub with about 2 inches of water as warm as you can handle it, if you want put some epsom salts or baking soda in. Dispite what you may think the salt and the soda will NOT cause any pain but will help clean and reduce swelling a great deal. Try to do this at least 2 times a day. Each time you use the restroom rinse(they should have given you a squirt bottle of some sort from the hospital) with warm water and DAB down there with toilet paper followed by some Dermoplast pain spray. It works wonders.
P.S. Baking soda is also GREAT for an exfolient and cleaning grime out of your hair and leaves your skin feeling very conditioned and soft believe it or not.

warm sitz baths with Epsom Salt in the water, take warm baths (which will help relax you and help relieve the uncomfortableness and soreness you are probably feeling all over your body) but be careful getting out of the tub, no heavy lifting or straining when you go to the bathroom. Take your meds on time (if you are on vicodin or something like that for the pain of the episiotomy, I had 4th degree stitching), don't let the pain get ahead of you cause it is much harder to get it back under control than keep it in control (advice from my nurse). Ice packs to sit on for 10 or 15 minutes at a time. Tucks(brand name) on a pad right next to your skin. Hang in there, I went thru the same stuff!

i had a 3rd degree and all i can say is- if you have a hard time using the bathroom use milk of magnesia, it helps a great deal, and try to stay off your bottom, i know it's hard when you have so much to do, mine didn't stop hurting until my son was 4 weeks old. they say blotting the stitches with tucks pads helps but it didn't help mine, maybe because the stitches were so bad (my son was very big 8lb 15.4oz). they also gave me hydrocortisone cream to put on it. keep it clean with the squirt bottle they give you everytime you use the restroom and blot it dry with the toilet paper. it will get better each day. i'm glad i didn't have an episiotomy with my daughter (who weighed more!), rips heal faster, they just aren't as pretty lol. good luck!

Matilda Violet, by using fact i do in comparison to that spelling of Madeleine, i like it spelt Madeline, and that i don't in basic terms like the call plant existence. 3. Hum.... possibly Jack Nicholas, Jack Alexander or Jack Nathaniel. Alexander and Nathaniel are my 2 well-known boys names and that i in simple terms think of Nicholas is going properly with Jack. If I did have a son called Jack it can be a nickname for Jackoby or Jackson however. 4. Keeyarghruh (Kiara) Mahduhleyenuh (Madeline) and Uhlukzxxanneduur (Alexander) Jyowle (Joel). I extra a silent y into Jowle by using fact it did not look you-neek sufficient. 5. i could %. french first names and Irish midsection names. I had the same thing done almost 2 months ago and I found that hot water works well and another thing that seems to ease the stinging and the pain was dermaplast......................that stuff works great, it sort of numbs the area and I just sprayed the **** out of it!! I know that the pain seems as if it will never go away, but it eventually will. I think my pain lasted for about 2 or 3 weeks, but it helps to walk around believe it or not. I know that it hurts to walk and sit and what not, but it helps the healing process. Take care and I hope that you start feeling better.

Keep the area clean, warm baths, light wiping not the usual heavy wiping when you go to the bathroom. The less you touch the area the easier it will heal. Congratulations on the baby

I had 4th degree stitching and the most important thing for you to do is take a stool softener!!!!!!!!! As gross as this may be for you to think about you will thank me if you do! Sitz baths help and if they gave you the squirt bottle to use after bowel moments use it.
