Doesn't the heat depress you guys? Actually the UK has just been through one of the longest and hottest spells we have ever known. There were days when the temps were up in the 90s. We haven't seen rain here for weeks..........yes overcast conditions bring welcome relief from the heat of the sun.

You get used to it and appreciate that it keeps everything green and fresh. It doesn't Always rain! I was there on a vacation for 5 days and it was hot and sun shiney, beautiful! During the winter is the time to paint or read or have lots of get-togethers with your friends...But I live in oregon and they say the same stuff about it here. It rains a lot, but only during the rainy seasons of fall and spring. That's why it is soooo beautiful here, too.

You really should check your facts once in a while instead of just assuming everything Oprah says is true. For most of July the temperature in the UK was over 80. There is currently a drought across most of southern England because there hasn't been enough rain to fill the reservoirs.

That is a bit of a stupid question because it isn't 'always' raining in the UK for example it isn't raining just now. Just because it rains quite often and has the reputation for raining frequently it doesn't been we would be depressed, we would be very unlikely to get a draught.

I'm in Toronto, and it's been really sunny these days, but cool. Highs are only up to 27 degrees C these days or 81 degrees F. Last week, a heat wave hit, and temperatures touched 43 degrees C or 109 degrees F, while dewpoints reached 31 degrees C or 88 degrees F at its highest.

acually it is demonstrated that weather is affecting peoples moods. so in cloudy weathers people may get dipressed but not all of them, you can do somethings and make your self busy so you dont have any other time to get dipressed! :) and remmember one thing sun has a diferent meaning for people who see it very often!
