I want something for jazz. And somthing that will last long, but not TOO expensive. Like anything 700 dollars or less. Just give me some ideas on what to look at. Tell me what you like too. Thanks!!

Epiphone "Joe Pass" model would be my personal choice.

I was going to recommend an Epiphone--a Joe Pass model--or the equivalent to Gibson's ES-335. Epiphone's Sheraton II and the Casino models are fine examples, ranging around $600 in the Musician's Friend catalog.

Gretsch makes fine semi-hollow body guitars for playing jazz, but the price is higher than $700.

I don't play jazz at all, but I have an LTD and I really am impressed with the quality. Something in your price range is going to be as good as a Gibson or Fender in the $1000 range. They make a lot of different styles, some more jazz-oriented than my AX350....here is their page on musician's friend.

Fender makes some good guitars that sound very good. I have a Fender stratocaster and jazz and blues sound great coming out of it.
