If you are poor and struggling to make ends meet, would you have time to be bored?

Boredom has nothing to do with wealth or the lack of it. If you lack creativity and you're unhappy, you'd be bored your whole life whether you have money or not.

Poverty can get boring too, but mostly just stressful.
I think the poor appreciate things more when they improve, like when you finally have enough money to travel, you get way more out of it than a rich person who travels all the time. Knowing nothing was handed to you and you had to work hard for it makes you a stronger person. I've been both but I think the ideal life is to experience poverty and then get rich!!

I would think just the opposite. Most "Rich" people I know are Rich because they work 60 to 80 hrs per week. Frankly I'm just to lazy to be "Rich".
I've seen studies that indicate that groups of hunter gatherers only work about 20 hrs/week. I think idleness is the cause of boredom. Not wealth, its just the idle rich have more ways to distract themselves.

well im not rich, but im not poor & struggling to make ends meet either.. but i sure get bored a LOT. lol

yes. because if you're poor you can't go buy clothes, go to the movies or the club or the restaurant, you can't pay the cable bill- and who wants to hang out with someone who can't chip in for the alcohol? being rich is fun- being poor creates boredom!

Im not rich, or poor, but I am verrryyy board. Probobly because my mom isn't home right now, and she is really fun to talk to.
