Most names originated as specific identifiers so one who was describing another to a third could say, you know, he's the walker, or he's the baker, or he lives at the junction of the two rivers with his wife Joan. Someone who ground flour was a miller, or formed metal in heat was a smith. The evolution of names (who says evolution doesn't exist?) came about when we had to identifiy each other more specifically, when there was more than one smith or walker or miller, after that it became a matter of pride to attach your name or a favorite person's name to your offspring. Then there's the belief that if you spell their name in a crazy way it makes one unique. (When in truth it feeds the fire for folks who attack unusual names). The application of labels on us and our kind is kind of an exercise in immortality. Who knew?

names are important and parents take the for granted. Your childs name will influence how they feel about themselves and how others may view them. a strong name will demand respect and honor, like names of important people. but names that having no value or relevance, names that are just letters tossed together could hinder a person. people will have trouble pronouncing the name which could result in the person becoming angry easy.
