Yes you can get pregnant this way. They say to have sex before you are ovulating as this increases the chances of pregnancy.

NOPE. an egg is only able to be fertilized up to 24 to 36 hours after ovulation. A egg can not be fertilized after that amount of time. An egg must be present in the tubes to get pregnant this only happens in that time frame shortly after you ovulate. Sperm can live up to 5 days so there is a small time frame every month in which you can get pregnant. IF YOU DO NOT ovulate there is 0 possibility of getting pregnant no egg = no baby. You can have sex 1-5 days before you ovulate and get pregnant. YOU MUST OVULATE TO GET PREGNANT. you can not get pregnant WITHOUT THE EGG that + the sperm is the key to the whole thing. Those who say yes are wrong no way to get pregnant with no egg sperm alone will not get you pregnant till it's paired with a single egg!

On the one hand, there has to be an egg to create a pregnancy. On the other hand, the egg can be produced a few days before or a few days after sex and still be fertilized.

Add to that the fact that it's virtually impossible to know exactly when you're ovulating, and you can see that this is not the greatest method of birth control!

Yes, you can. Sperm can stay alive in your system for up to 72 hours.

Contrary to popular belief, you can get pregnant at any time in your monthly cycle, but the chances are more likely when you're ovulating.

If you're worried about getting pregnant, I would suggest getting on the pill, or something of the like. If you think that you could be, I would tell you that the chances are slimmer if you're not ovulating, but not impossible.

If you miss your period, get a pregnancy test.

yes you can. unless you know for sure when your last menstrual period was and you have chart the aproximate date that you might be ovulating. every women ovulates at different times. so if you have sex 2-3 days before you start ovulating you can get pregnant. because the sperm stays inside for 2-3 days so when you start ovulating the sperm might still be there and you would get pregnant. try buying an ovulation kit. it will help you alot.

Yes, you can get pregnant even when you aren't ovulating. Anytime you can get pregnant. So, if you don't want to get pregnant, look into different methods of birth control, a condom wouldn't be that bad of an idea either. Or, just don't have sexual intercourse at all.
Hope that helped!
