Would it be 64 cubic feet?

None, but a 4x4x4 hole has a capacity of 64 cubic feet, yes.

What are you asking this for, though? because if you intend to fill it up with something you won't necessarily need 64 cubic feet of material; it all depends on what you are using, because different materials have different rates of compressibility and you have to keep that in mind: For instance, if you plan to fill it up with garden soil you will need about 35 or 40% more than 64 cuft, whereas if you use concrete, you will need not that much more... as a general rule, the looser the material is, the more you will need to compact it and therefore the more extra quantity you need to consider.
Hope this was helpful.

No, but you removed 64 cubic feet of dirt to create the hole. It can't be a hole if there is dirt in it.

If it's a hole there is no dirt at all in it. But the dirt you took out of it would be 64 square feet. A cubit foot is about 18 inches as compared to the 12 inch square foot.

LOL... They're right 'there isn't any dirt in a 4x4x4 hole.

But my father showed me years ago, depending on the phase the moon is in, it can effect the amount of dirt you need to refill the hole.

Noo no no dirt ina hole. and yep 64 cubic feet.

But I am assuming , pardon me, that you are taking
dirt OUT for a reason....are you building a garden?
Be sure to add weed sheeting first, then fetilized
airated good dirt.

Unless your building a sunken pit, with a patio around it....or a place to bury the body.....

now I really want to know....whats the hole for?
