We forgive other celebrities and politicians and pedophiles for much worse. Not to lower his anti-Semitism to a forgiveable offense, but it can always be worse. He's a powerhouse.

Mel Gibson has reached the point in his life where he really doesn't have to worry about his career. He made enough money from the Passion of the Christ to fund his own movie projects, independently of Hollywood, and that has got to be burning a few butts!
He realized that he did something wrong and he is taking steps to rectify that. He is in rehab and has issued several apoligies regarding the incident.
No one is perfect, but the true test is how you react to your mistakes. I think he's going to be okay.

There's nothing wrong with his career. He's a great actor and great movie maker. I'm happy for him that he's been successful enough in life to make the kind of movies he wants and I hope he keeps them coming because I enjoy them. If you feel "The Passion" was anti-Semitic then you're obviously clueless and need to read a little book called The Bible and I mean a real one and not some PC translation that panders to liberals. Oh and FYI that movie was based on a book called "The Dolorous Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ" not the new testament even though the same theme is there.

Absolutely. When he made The Passion, everyone put him up on a pedestal and we, as the public, have forgotten that he is a human and humans make mistakes. One of the things that Jesus taught was forgiveness. That is something that all human beings need to put into practice more, especially in these times that we are facing. Mr. Gibson is a talented man and he will survive this and come out of it with grace and dignity.

i'm afraid he really has tousled some situations too many, to be in a position to maintain the tiers of comprehend that Mel once had.... regrettably i think that the actuality is he meant each word, merely regrets getting "stuck"..... any such pity for such an sensible guy to be so poor in humanity. BTW I got here accross a shaggy dog tale that i theory replaced into truly installation for his declare he drank in straightforward words water all evening.... Miracle Mile a clergyman is driving all the way down to ny and receives stopped for rushing in Connecticut. The state trooper smells alcohol on the priest's breath and then sees an empty wine bottle on the floor of the vehicle. He says, "Sir, have you ever been eating?" "merely water," says the priest. The trooper says, "Then why do I scent wine?" The priest seems on the bottle and says, "reliable Heavens! he's carried out it back!" ***this can likely clarify the Mel Gibson secret of ways he grew to change into lower than the impression of alcohol at the same time as eating in straightforward words bottles of water contained in the Bar!

Yes, I think so. I think that the next movie, Apocalypto (or something like that) is going to be very telling. If it makes a lot of money, I think that will bode will for him.

at this point, he doesn't have to because he's loaded.
what he said still wasn't right and he should make a conscious, public protest against himself for couple months but really he doesn't need a career with as much money as he's got.
