Wal-Mart Stores Inc. First company to arrive with supplies as always including ammo for the police department. They even have their own disaster relief coordinator.

I cannot be completely sure of this but I do know for the children of Hurricane Katrina Nourish the Children responded with food for children. Each bag contains the nutrients needed for the children and each bag feeds 30 children. Nourish the Children is all over the world, over seas and right here in our home land. Where ever the help is needed, Nourish the Children provides it. You can check it out at the website.

Hi Miss Taryn,,, I am a Katrina and Rita survivor.... and I really appreciate your question here... and your thoughtfulness.. I work in the oil business as do a lot of people down here,,, My company,,, even though it has taken lots of (Hits) in the news .... is Halliburton... and they were immediately contacting us,,, the employees as to what we needed... housing,, food .,, money... I was really impressed...
They were not the only one... most all of the companies... the small and large .... service companies,, and the big Oil Companies,,, offered any help we needed..... I am currently working for BP.. and they offered the same .. to all of us that are working on the drilling rigs....... and get this... one rig ,,, has 750 people on it... mine has about 150... as do most.....

So,,, even though lots of negative things are said,,,, They were good to me and my co-workers.....

If your ever in the New Orleans area,,, let me know,, I will be most glad to give you a tour..... some areas still look like the war zone in Lebanon......but we are surviving.......

I can even cook...... cajun of course.... lol

good luck
