The skin is really thin on your forehead, and especially right above your eye. The nerve endings are really close to the surface.

To remove the hairs from that part of your body still requires a considerable "pull" to successfully remove the hairs. The thinner the skin, the greater the pain, no matter how long you've been doing it.

HURT ??? It doesn't hurt when I get my eyebrows waxed. Lotsa peeps like the feeling actually :) Maybe your hairdresser doesn't do it right... In that case, you should go see someone else if it hurts.

It hurts because your hair is getting ripped out. Take an advil about 20 minutes before your apt. It won't hurt as much.

Because its like a bandade pulling off of your skin...it stings....eyebrow waxing rips your hairs off of your skin....that hurts

they pull the skin along with the hairs when you wax it.

because you are getting your hair pulled out of your skin. it isn't supposed to feel good unless you are some kind of weirdo who likes pain. but it doesn't hurt that bad.

because your hair is being pulled out by the roots, just like it does when you tweeze it - your just doing it all at once.
