should we target MUSLIM travellers at our airports?

the answer to me is simple, home in on any muslim travelling by air, and let the rest of us get on with it

my point is whats the point of wasting time with mr and mrs smith and kids, when abdul is standing in line

Why should we not? It's our duty to preserve our safety. If we know the MAJORITY (not all, MAJORITY) of terrorists are Arabic Muslims then why shouldn't we target them? We shouldn't waste funds and possibly lives ignoring that fact in order to be politically correct. If the terrorists were all white then I wouldn't mind being targeted if it kept me safe.

People need to stop being so politically correct and face the facts. Arabic terrorists are far more common and we can save lives by responding to that fact.

Well, as Islam is a faith, not a race or skin colour, it would be difficult to determine who was Muslim. But, as it is mainly males who want to blow up 'planes, perhaps airport security should demand to see all men's penises, wave through women and uncircumcised men and give circumcised men a rigorous search. This would also pick up Jews, but perhaps that's the price to pay to let Mr and Mrs Smith the 80 year old couple fromTunbridge Wells get on the aeroplane quicker and with a nice Thermos of PG Tips.

I know what you are saying, but noone carries ID around declaring thier faith so how would you target muslims?
I agree that the majority of muslims abhorr the extremists... but maybe the muslim community should do a lot more work in sorting their own community out instead of blaming the police and the government for their own problems. This is happening because of islamic extremists and for no other reason.
There are a lot of things going on in this world that i disagree with, but i dont decide that kiling innocent lives is the answer.
My best friend died in iraq last year. He believed he was over there to make a positive difference to the Iraqi peoples lives. He wasnt the devil or evil.

Now, it may seem completely and terribly racist, but it's sensible. It's not white people blowing themselves up and there's a hugely smaller chance of them having bombs. Most Muslims are nice people, I know quite a few, but what it the point of targeting the entire population when all the terrorists are coming from a small minority? It would be more efficient and save resources too.

Of course, for planes there needs to be a lot of security for everyone anyway, and that shouldn't change.

YES, hello, they are the terrorists. We have to start now because even a good Muslim can turn. They consider themselves Muslim first, and vow fidelity to ALLAH. They could care less about the British,French, Germans or Americans because they see them selves as only Muslim. When the war starts do you think good Muslims will join forces with the west to combat these terrorists? No. They will always choose ISLAM first and join the terrorists. The war will happen in your Europe. Everyone western will unite against them and they will retreat to their countries. Iran will nuke Europe! That will be the start of WW-III. I have to agree with you. Since Muslim is a religion, we need to focus on any travelers from the Middle East. You are right. The fact that we don't do that may be the mitigating factor in losing the war.

Your suggestion is kind of right, except for the fact that not all muslim terrorist look like muslim terrorist. What about the white guy who turns to islam and looks like a Brit?

Islam has made the world a tough place to live in at the moment and we are going to have to get used to it!
