It depends on the state and the school district that you are teaching in. Some school districts in the same city pay vastly different amounts of money. Here's a website you should check out.

Try looking on www.bls.gov They have a bunch of good stuff.
One thing I have heard though is that it is difficult for someone with a masters to get a teaching job in a high school. Most schools won't hire them because they have to pay them more. So I know that a lot of teachers just get a 4 year degree and after they have a job, attend school part time to get their Masters. Then they get a raise and have teaching experience in case they ever need to find a new job.

It also depends on the years of expereice uou have teaching. In the state of MO, the starting salary with a Master's Degree without teaching experice is about $30,000. Each state has different standards.

The salary is different depending on where you live. In the Fort Worth(Texas) ISD, the average salary is 48,000/year. I don't know about the rest of the country though. But try this link for specific averages in your city/state.

Well the average pay (in California) for a kindergarden teacher is 43,860. For elementary its 46,720. For middle school its 47,350. And for high school its 50,200. Im not sure if this is bacherlor's degree only, i think so though. I got this info from one of my class lectures, im a liberal studies major.
