After they have taken 25% you then get to pay fuel duty, V.A.T, council tax etc...
So you only really get half.
Imagine half of every wage in the UK to run the country, something has got to be seriously wrong somewhere.

You can consider between 25% and 50% in the USA based on other criteria!@

You can almost always count 25% of your wages being taken in taxes.

In Canada, about $32,000 to $36,000 depending on your tax base.
I wouldn't complain if I made that in a year.
Unfortunately, most other do 'cuz they're greedy.
