I never seen him going to work but he owns a lot cars so i guess he's rich
i think everyday he spends 3/4 of the day in his yard
all i see with him are bags of dirt and shovels, and all i hear are shovelling noises
he seems pretty busy with it, he looks kinda scary
also I haven't seen his wife for a while now
so..should i confront him? cause other than saying an occassional hello, we never talked before

ooo. that's a little scary. where is his wife?

you can choose a right time where he's outside, talk to him, be friendly, don't let up you're suspicious, and find out about him.
ask questions. just don't say something like "so, how come i never see you go to work?"
he could use his shovel to knock you unconscious.

but what if he's just a guy who's divorced his wife and is trying to decrease his depression by planting flowers and fixing up his backyard?

NO, Of he hasn't waved to you or made any effort ot meet you... Then leave the guy alone and mind your own F'ing business!
Just a note, there are lots of people in this world that like to go solo.. Not know many people.

I would be careful on this one. Can you ask someone else instead? Maybe a friend or another neighbor. Maybe someone else would know. If you truly suspect foul play, ask a law enforcement officer for his/her advice. You can call the police and ask them to withhold your name if they do decide to go over and talk to this man. I believe they will do so.

Sure, why not. Ask him sometime when you're in a casual conversation.

Maybe he's independently wealthy. Or maybe he's retired. Or maybe his wife works all the time is the reason why you don't see her.'

If you'd like a Cuban necktie, I'd ask him.

If you prefer your tongue in your mouth not jutting out of your neck then keep quiet.

Go next door and introduce yourself. Tell him that you envy whatever he does for a living cause you want to live that way too...then ask him.

It is really not your business. Leave the man alone.
