$10.55 per hour is no money.
$400 per week = less than 300 per week after taxes and everything.
$1200 per month, less the expenses that you listed plus food, clothes, etc.
How about you getting a job and contributing too.
Most people in America are broke.

10.55 an hour - you don't say how many hours a week he works, so I'll guess 40.
That's $422 a week. In a month, he probably earns $1828, gross.
30% of that goes to taxes, leaving him with around $1200 a month.
After $500 for rent & utilities, he's left with $700.
Most people spend around $150 a month on food - more if he eats a lot of prepackaged stuff, but I'll say $150. Down to $550.
Does he eat out when he's at work? If so, that's probably $5 a day, times 5 days a week times 4.3 weeks (average number of weeks in a month) is $108 a month. That brings him down to $442. If he goes out at all, puts gas in his car, has any other payments, that's where his money goes.

I don't think you have all his cost, how about food he has at home and at work?don't forget the taxes that comes out of his total of the income.Does he pay health insuranse? Does he have some type of phone or cable?Does he own a computer(the cost to have it on line)..does he drink anything??If the answer is no for all of these, then he might be a saver. I know I make a little more then him,and I have a hard time with money.

If you can't see how strapped he is with the expenses he's got on a $10.55 an hour salary, then he needs to find a gril who accepts him and not a Visa Gold Card!

He is spending it on his other women, LOL, sorry for that, I know several welders and none of them make that little of money. You be looking for more money than you think. Drugs, gambling, eating out when out of town, B**by bar or YOU. Good luck.

Maybe you should ask to see all his receipts, bank account, bills and so forth. If you're really concerned and thinking of him as marriage material I would have him do this before you commit to him. You don't want him telling you that you're broke all the time for the rest of your life because of poor money management. You may also find out about some "habits" that you really don't care for - now would be a good time to find out!

IF HE ONLY MAKES $10.55 AN HOUR HE CANT BE A VERY GOOD WELDER. MOST WELDERS MAKE BETWEEN $15-$30 BUCKS AN HOUR. ALSO WHO CARES WHAT HE DOES WITH HIS MONEY HE EARNED IT NOT YOU. GET A JOB AND GET YOUR OWN MONEY.

well how many hours a week does he work? if he is like my husband (who has a very good job making about 3,000 a month and is similiar as far as what we have to pay for) he wastes about 20 a day on scratch tickets and lunch, so that is about 600 a month that goes to food and here and there stuff.

0.55 /hr isn't much
His total income is only 1519.2 after taxes
375.00 rent
120.00 utilities
160.00 ride to work
200.00 food
150.00 misc.
200.00 savings
Total expenses
1205.00
that only leaves him @ 300.00 for the month and he may not want to spend his money on you
