Well, my husbands thinks the same thing. I will tell you what I do . It takes 20 minutes for makeup, applying moisterizer, powder, eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, blush, some lip gloss and lip liner and then mascara two more times. It takes 5-8 minutes to blow dry my hair, because the conditioner in our hairs cause it to dry slower because its a hair moisterizer. It takes 10 minutes to curl my hair at the ends, and if I wanted to get fancy with it, it takes 35 minutes. I take 10-15 minutes to decide on what to wear, including which shoes, earrings, purse...and well... after getting dressed, I check on my hair and makeup one more time and it takes another 1-2 minutes. so all together...about an hour and a half. Some women do more and take their time. I rush a little bit so Im a half hour earlier. But when Its just to the grocery store or something, I only take 20 minutes to get ready.

hahaha well i usually takes me about 2 hours too. Make up. Getting the right lightning. pefecting myself. Trying to find out what shoes will go with the shirt. And the shirt you wanted to wear turns out to be dirty and that was the only shirt that went with the skirt you were going to wear. Then you have to start back at one. And the eye shadow has to match too. HAHAHA.
I know you probably like her with no make up and just something simple. But for us girls it's not enough. We always think that a little is not enough. Even if you say: "huni you look fine like that." hahaha I want to look good for my man even if all i get the"you still look the same" or maybe the " you look pretty" It just a habit. From wanting attention.
She may look the same after she is done. But it's all about how she thinks and how she feel and thinks that it's good enough. My boyfriend now tells me around 5-6 o'clock to get ready for dinner @ 8. I still lag. And then he gets dressed when im ready. But I hate when he is not dressed before me. Because then it discourages me to get dressed and like were not in a hurry or something. HAHAHA
Honestly, I don't know why i take so long. I know why because I change clothes so much. But It's hard for ME to make decisions. And time just flies. Trust me we don't do it on purpose to piss you off. I swear. It just take a lot of time for perfection. I mean would you go out with your other half if her make up looked like mimi from the drew carrey show?

Well we like to look our best, and going out for a nice meal, is a great opportunity to tart up and put our gladrags on.
We usually have a pamper in the bath/shower including giving ourselves a manicure/pedicure, facial treatments and general wish-wash rountine.
We never can decide what to wear also.

Lucky you! Men don't have quite as much to do to make themselves look nice. Your wife is trying to look her best when she goes out. You should be proud of that.
Sometimes the bathroom is the only privacy a woman has, and she takes her time to make sure every hair is in the right spot, every wrinkle is covered by make-up, and every item of clothing fits just right.

We girlies want to look good and feel good when we are going out especially with someone we care about. Stop complaining, you wouldn't like it if she didn't shower, style her hair, paint her nails, apply make up, wear a smart outfit that makes her look good with sexy underwear underneath. Count yourself lucky your wife still makes an effort.
Hope you enjoyed the night out

Look great for you!
It takes us twice as long as you guys because we have twice as much hair as you to work with. Two times the clothes you have to choose from. Twice as many chores to take care of before leaving the bathroom.
Have a great evening out and don't sweat the little stuff..she's worth it in the end...RIGHT?

She wants to look good/smell good for your special time out. Makeup, perfume, hair, right clothes, right jewlery, right shoes, right purse, all go into making the night. Notice these things, because she has taken lots of time picking just the right ones.
