No.
I know of no sect of Christianity which requires believers to kill or subjugate non-believers.
Also, when you think about it, strapping a bomb to your son and having him blow himself up is pretty stupid.

Yes. There are many commonalities. Most of the prophets are common eg Noah,Adam,Abraham,Moses,Jesus etc. Both believe in oneness of God. Both religions insist that only their teachings are right and there is no other path. I would however hasten to add that Christianity is much less fundamentalist than Islam. This probably because of two millennia that have elapsed for Christianity where as Islam is only 1400 years old. Islam is spread over 57 nations and most Muslims in these countries are poor, exploited, illiterate with bad living conditions and absence of freedom, democracy and so on.

Certainly they do. (That's a good one; :)) Actually, there have been a few Christians in recent years that have blown other things up, if not themselves, in the name of doing God's will:
1. David Koresh and the Branch Davidians
2. Timothy McVeigh, in retaliation for David Koresh & the Branch Davidians
3. People who bomb or attack abortion clincs.
In essence this is the problem I have with a hymn like "Onward Christian soldiers, marching as to war." I never show it, but whenever it's sung in a service, I wince internally.

I think Muslims and Christians are EXACTLY the same. Both have a history of IMPOSING their beliefs on others. Both have a history of SPREADING their message via missions. Both believe that human beings are inherently flawed since birth, life is meant to be lived in servitude of a higher being, and that blind faith in something that doesn't need logical explanation will lead to eternal happines after this life.
There is more blood on the hands of Christians and Muslims than either one of them are willing to confess.

They do have a lot in common. Unfortunately, this is the reason the Ottoman (Turkish) Empire managed to conquer one state after the other, take little children away from their parents, turn them into soldiers for the rest of their lives and not let them marry.

Yes. All fundamentalists are the same no matter which religion they are. It is all about controlling others and instilling their lifestyle on others.
James11a, read about the Lord's Resistance Army in Africa and about the inquistion and about the Salem witch trials and the Puritans.

the version between fundamentalist Christians and Muslims is what they carry as elementary. As a Christian I carry as elementary that i admire God and others. As Muslim fundamentalists, human beings seem to desire to kill unbelievers. As for those Christian fundamentalists who get slightly obsessed approximately politics (this coming from somebody doing it at Uni) and preaching hate against professional abortion and gay human beings they are not being actual to the basics of the Christian faith. in certainty the anti abortion/gay Christians are disobeying Jesus in that he instructed us to not choose or to be hypocritical- we are all sinners. we've to inspire human beings to stand the certainty that they are sinners yet then factor them to the Saviour that we've depended on in- we're not extra suited or worse than every person else.
